Το παρόν έργο αποσκοπεί στον εξοπλισμό του Δήμου Χίου για την αντιμετώπιση των μεγάλων προβλημάτων που συνδέονται με τις αυξημένες προσφυγικές ροές. Με την υλοποίηση του έργου επιδώκεται να πάψουν οι παραλίες του νησιού να θυμίζουν μεγάλες χωματερές, και να αποκτήσει το νέο «χωριό» της ΒΙΑΛ πιο ανθρώπινες συνθήκες από πλευράς συλλογής απορριμμάτων.
