Το έργο αποτελεί επέκταση του υφιστάμενου δικτύου ποδηλατοδρόμων με την κατασκευή νέων διαδρομών που συνδέουν το υπάρχον δίκτυο ποδηλατοδρόμων με γειτονιές όπου υπάρχουν συγκεντρωμένες σχολικές και αθλητικές χρήσεις. Εκτείνεται σε όλο το μήκος της οδού Δ. Λάππα (αποκλειστική λωρίδα ποδηλάτου μονής κατεύθυνσης πλάτους 1,50 μ, παράλληλης ροής με την μηχανοκίνητη κυκλοφορία) και της οδού Αλ. Παναγούλη (διπλής κατεύθυνσης πάνω στο ανατολικό πεζοδρόμιο).Η διαδρομή συνδέεται με το υπάρχον δίκτυο στις οδούς Καραϊσκάκη και Υψηλάντου και με το νέο χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Στρατηγική Βιώσιμης Αστικής Ανάπτυξης ποδηλατόδρομο της οδού Ηρώων Πολυτεχνείου. The project is an extension of the existing cycling network with the construction of new routes connecting the existing cycling network with neighbourhoods where there are concentrated school and sporting uses. It extends along the entire length of D.Lappa (exclusive one-way bicycle lane with a width of 1.50 m, parallel flow to motorised traffic) and Al. Panagoulis (double direction on the eastern sidewalk).The route is connected to the existing network in Karaiskaki and Ypsilantou streets and the new supported by the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of Heroes Polytechnic Street.
