CERIT-SC je výzkumná infrastruktura poskytující vědecké komunitě flexibilní výpočetní kapacity a datová úložiště. Stojí na 3 pilířích - dostatečně rozsáhlý hardware, cílený výzkum ve vybraných oblastech informatiky a dlouhodobá spolupráce s uživateli.Cíle tohoto projektu jsou opětovně posunout centrum na technologickou špičku (investicemi do hardware) a posílit výzkum v kritických oblastech velkých dat a intenzivních výpočtů, tedy know-how potřebného k efektivnímu využití hardwarových zdrojů. a. The CERIT-SC is a research infrastructure providing flexible computing capacity and data storage to the scientific community. It is built on 3 pillars — sufficiently large hardware, targeted research in selected IT areas and long-term collaboration with users. the project’s objectives are to take the centre back from the technological peak (hardware investments) and to strengthen research in critical big data and intensive calculations, i.e. the know-how needed to make efficient use of hardware resources.
