The purpose and objective of the “BioSeedPack” project is to develop a new line of biocomposite products for the food sector, launched under the SKAZA brand, which will be based on biopolymer materials accompanied by a certificate of composting, biodegradability and recycling, and seeds of vegetables and cereals, which due to excessively long storage periods no longer achieve suitable quality for sale and are currently classified as secondary raw material. In biopolymer matrices, the latter component will primarily serve as a strengthening element for improving the mechanical properties of finished materials, and on the other hand as a didactic factor for stimulating creative thinking of preschoolers. The BioSeedPack project aims to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of a new circular economy model in which the secondary raw material of seed material will be valorised as a new primary raw material for the production of biopolymer composites.
