(Spanish)

The Iberian city of Cástulo, located on the right bank of the Guadalimar River, is one of the capital centers of the peninsular noon during antiquity, both because of the extension of its walled enclosure (50 ha) and its strategic position in the head of the Guadalquivir valley. Decree 261/2011 of 26 July 2011 (B.O.J.A. No 155 of 9 August 2011, pp. 6770), created the Archaeological Complex of Cástulo (Linares, Jaén), and had previously delimited the extent of this archaeological zone distributed between the municipalities of Linares, Lupión and Torreblascopedro (Jaén). This operation aims to address the lack of basic infrastructure for the circulation, information and long-term sustainability of the new resources mobilised in the city of Cástulo. This shortcoming is now being addressed by the establishment of basic networks and different communication resources. The actions to be developed will aim at the promotion of knowledge, as well as the consolidation, recovery, conservation and enhancement of the public use of the spaces recovered from this protected area. It is envisaged to guarantee the supply of water, with an abstraction that provides sufficient flow, it is also necessary to set up a basic distribution network, in addition to the installation of electricity and fibre optic networks. The project in the city of Cástulo seeks to gather hydrants, electricity and fiber optics in the same solution. Electricity and fibre optic networks are designed to facilitate the deployment of new resources for communication and public use. (English)
