    El objetivo del proyecto es diseñar y desarrollar una central de control de grupos electrógenos con procesado de señal eléctrica de alta inmunidad para uso en construcción con 6 configuraciones distintas de frecuencia/tensión. Un grupo electrógeno es una máquina que mueve un generador a través de un motor de combustión interna, utilizandose para generar electricidad. Son utilizados cuando no llega la energía a algún lugar (viviendas aisladas, espectáculos, construcción, estaciones de telecomunicaciones BTS, etc. ), o bien cuando existen cortes de suministro eléctrico, como unidad de apoyo (generadores de emergencia: hospitales, fábricas, supermercados, etc.). Un grupo electrógeno comprende distintas partes: motor, regulador, sistema eléctrico, alternador y sistema de control, que consiste en controlar el funcinamiento y salida del grupo, y protegerlo contra posibles fallos de funcionamiento.
