The University Institute of Marine Research (INMAR) is a center belonging to the University of Cádiz dedicated to scientific and technical research from the perspective of the different scientific disciplines related to the sea and the transfer of knowledge to its social and economic environment. The purpose of this request is to foster the INMAR Research Services by acquiring a segmented flow autoanalyzer for the quantification of nutrient concentrations (nitrite, nitrate, ammonium, phosphate and silicate), calcium, total iron and sulfate in water samples of different origin (oceanic, coastal, estuarine, continental, interstitial water of marine sediments and sewage effluents). This infrastructure would allow the development and offer of specialized services in the field of oceanography, ecology of aquatic systems, biogeochemistry of sediments and environmental impact studies. Additionally, it constitutes an additional support equipment for aquaculture activities, marine microalgae culture and ecotoxicological studies. The application is endorsed by the directors of 5 groups of the Andalusian Research Plan that include 3 institutions (University of Cádiz, CSIC and Spanish Institute of Oceanography) all of them carry out their work within the CEIMAR Campus of Excellence.
