Promoting measures to raise awareness of learning in the workplace, to improve the level of knowledge, competences or skills of employees and to develop and introduce workplace learning programmes in relevant SMEs, which work in areas identified according to SNC and SNCDI, thus facilitating sustainable and quality employment and supporting labour mobility in the North-West Region, within a period of 18 months. The proposed objective falls within the priorities of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the project activities aiming to stimulate a new type of economic development, by supporting competitive, “smart”, “sustainable” and favorable enterprises of equal opportunities, social innovation and environmental protection. This support is indirect by providing professional training programmes for the employees of these companies, but also directly by developing and introducing work-based learning programs in 36 relevant SMEs. Professional training will include the theme of sustainable development, and students will be certified by NCAs. The project will create a more attractive framework for the development of the competitive economy in the North-West Region, by increasing the level of competences and strengthening education throughout life and career for at least 326 persons employed and direct support provided to 36 SMEs with development potential, thus responding to the need that generated this financing proposal. The level of investment in education made by SMEs in the North-West Region is relatively low, with training budgets being the first to be adjusted if firms face financial impediments. The link between education providers (regardless of the level) of research, knowledge and implementation of knowledge by SMEs is poor. We consider that an efficient way of providing professional training services and methods that provides integrated measures of formal education, completed by NCA certifications and non-formal education (on the workplace) represents an important value mix and an opportunity for both employees and SMEs. Numerically expressed the general objective of the project is characterised by awareness actions lasting 18 months targeting an audience of over 150,000 people dispersed throughout the implementation region, of which a forecast number of more than 1600 representatives and employees from relevant SMEs will be targeted; from this wide target group of enterprises and employees there will be a data ban with a minimum of 500 contacts of employees, potential participants in CVT and 50 SMEs operating in competitive sectors. At least 30 % of the persons employed will be female and at least 10 % will be between 55 and 64 years old. The project supports free and transparent access for all eligible persons, subject to conditions (English)
