The Pomorskie Voivodeship and the Kaliningrad District are areas of unique natural and cultural values, the potential of which is not fully utilized, due to insufficiently developed infrastructure and improper development of heritage sites. This results in an insufficient no. of visitors to places rich in natural, historical and cultural values in the area of the Program. These places also are usually not adapted to the needs of disabled people. The main objective of the Project is: "Protection and promotion of cultural, historical and natural heritage in the Kaliningrad region and in the Pomeranian Voivodeship". This will be achieved by making available to both residents and tourists collections related to the history and cultural heritage of Gdańsk and Kaliningrad. One of the specific objectives of the Project will be to provide access for disabled people to the new cultural offer. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the number of tourists and residents using the cultural offer, including excluded and disabled groups, will increase. The main result of the project will be an increase in the number of tourists using the Museum Gdańsk offer from the level of 99867 people to 138945, while in the case of the World Ocean Museum from 0 to 15000 in the first year. Cross-border cooperation will enable mutual promotion of regions and exchange of experiences of individual Partners. The initiated cooperation will be the basis for building an interesting tourist offer of both regions. Project will contribute to the creation of sustainable cross-border cooperation among others through planned regular meetings. This will allow the exchange of experience in the field of technological solutions of making the offer available to all group of visitors. The implementation of the Project by each of the partners would individually prevent the achievement of the synergy effect, in the form of a significant increase in the number of visitors and the development of good practices.
