O projeto da nova EBS das Lajes do Pico previsto para 600 alunos, integrado na Unidade Orgânica com o Nº total de alunos de 690, é composto por diferentes níveis letivos que vão do pré-escolar, 1º,2º,3º ao Secundário, com área destinada ao Ensino Especial e, que se encontram divididos em dois volumes distintos, tendo em conta as faixas etárias.
