    IN THE WORLD OF SCHOOL WE HAVE DEVELOPED A COMPLEX SOCIAL PHENOMENON IDENTIFIABLE THROUGH OBSERVABLE SYMPTOMS THAT WE COULD DEFINE INDICATORS OF SCHOOL FAILURE DELAYS REPETITIONS ABSENCES IRREGULAR FREQUENCIES QUALITY POOR QUALITY OF OUTCOMES UP TO ALABBANDONO OF THE ACTUAL EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS. THIS PHENOMENON IS THE SYMPTOM OF SOCIAL DISCOMFORT LINKED TO THE FAMILY’S ECONOMIC EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, WHICH OFTEN PRESENTS CONDITIONS OF MARGINALISATION AND DEVIATION. COMBATING SCHOOL LEAVING THEREFORE MEANS ENCOURAGING THE POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS BUT ALSO INCREASING THE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY BY CREATING ONE OF THE ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS FOR SUSTAINED AND LASTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND FOR THE PROGRESS OF SOCIETY AS A WHOLE.
