Cross-border project "HealthyTomorrow" between Rural Municipality of Põlva and Administration of Strugo-Krasnensky district of Pskov region will be implemented to boost cooperation between both municipalities and their sport schools. Also develope the new sport services and increase the awareness about healthy lifestyle among habitants. In nowadays dynamically developing world with IT technologies, there is a risk of loss of physical activity. The popularization of sports among habitants, especially among children, adolescents and youth, is for that reason very important. The project will allow to change the attitude to physical health, increase the involvement of the population in regular physical activity, to set the right life landmarks and careful attitude to the health. Due to geographical location and long-standing traditions of skii trainings, project partners have the potential and desire for the formation and development of an attractive urban environment for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for local residents through winter sports (skiing, Nordic walking). At the same time, the outdated material and technical base and the lack of sport contacts do not allow to develop this area properly. During the project there is implemented new sport services: volunteer-based activity coaches for group trainings and "club for healthy lifestyle". Also study-visits for civil servants and sport school trainers and joint trainings with participation in international sports event for youngster and non-professional adults, will be arranged. In addition, project partners purchase sport and physical training equipment, which will increases the accessibility of the population to sports services. (English)
