TRANS TRITIA Project (futher called as the Project) works on territory of 3 states and 4 regions: Moravian – Silesian Region CZ, Opole voivodship PL, Silesian Voivodship PL and Žilina Self – governing Region SK. Territory of TRANS TRITIA Project cover 34,069 km2 and a population of above 7,800 000. Important roads and corridors, Road No. 58, E75 and E462 (European tracks) and Baltic - Adriatic Corridor, lead across the Project territory. The Project wants to improve information, planning and coordination among regional authorities, administrators of transport networks and freight transport stakeholders. The project will the cross – border, transnational, and interregional cooperation of its members with an objective to strengthen economic and social cohesion to achieve goals defined in strategies Europe 2020 or White Paper – Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area The Project has two parts: (1) TRANS TRITIA Strategy of multimodal freight transport and Action Plans implementing Strategy findings and (2) Transport model system – which will be developed during in the project, will describe the cross-border situation between Žilina region (SVK) – Silesian Voivodeship (PL), Žilina region (SVK) – Moravian-Silesian Region (CZ), Moravian-Silesian Region (CZ) – Silesian Voivodeship (PL) and Moravian Silesian Region (CZ) – Opole Voivodeship (PL) and forecast up to 20130. As each participated region developed their transport network last years and would like to ensure sustainable their internal development, they will obtain a tool for preparing necessary strategies and data to support decision of their governments in respect area and transport branches.Project Partners will cooperate closely with local, regional authorities and freight transport operators as the stakeholders who results of the project will be available to resolve the existing critical issues within Partner's regions.
