    - The actual technical condition of the road P-16 is unsatisfactory. Throughput is low, there are many angles of turns, and the maximum speed limit is 40 km / h. In this regard, at present the road P-16 does not meet international requirements for buses and trucks. Also, there are not provided traffic conditions and unhindered access to the border crossing «Peschatka- Polovtsy». - The Overall objective of the Project is improving access to Brest-Podlaska border region through sustainable development of cross-border road infrastructure. Reconstruction of the road R-16 will provide access to the border crossing «Peschatka- Polovtsy», improve international transport links, increase the speed of motion, increase road capacity and ensure safe traffic conditions, improve the environment, make the region more attractive to tourists and investors, affect the availability of the border region, thus ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the Belarusian-Polish border region.
