Az intézmény Sirokban található, a falu Heves megyében Egertől 20 km-re fekszik, lakossága kb. 2000 fő. Az iskola 90 éves fennállása alatt volt olyan tanév, amikor a tanulói létszám a 350 főt is meghaladta. Sajnos az utóbbi évtizedekben a gyermek születések csökkenése, valamint a falvakból történő elvándorlás következményeként az iskola létszáma folyamatosan csökken. További kedvezőtlen hatás a munkahelyek számának jelentős csökkenése, amelynek következtében nőtt a munkanélküliség a térségben, nőtt a hátrányos helyzetű családok száma. 2007-től az addig kizárólag települési iskola beiskolázási körzete bővült: a környék 10 km-es körzetén belül lévő kisebb települések-Szajla, Terpes, Bükkszék- tanulóinak is ez körzeti iskolája. A bejárók létszáma átlagosan 40 %, szállításuk reggel és délután menetrendszerű buszokkal történik. Az intézményben 8 évfolyam működik egy-egy osztállyal és 2 napközis csoporttal. 2013. januártól a fenntartó és működtető a Klebelsberg Központ. Sajnos a létszámcsökkenés továbbra is fennáll, Eger város közelsége, a viszonylag jó tömegközlekedés és az, hogy sok szülő Egerben dolgozik, azt eredményezi, hogy elég sok helyi tanuló nem jár a helyi oktatási intézménybe. Mindez a tanulói létszám összetételét is kedvezőtlenül befolyásolja, mivel a térségben magas a hátrányos helyzetű családok száma és nem ezen családok gyermekeit viszik a városi iskolákba. Fontos azonban, hogy a faluban az iskola megmaradjon, és az idejáró tanulók színvonalas oktatásban részesüljenek. Ennek érdekében az iskola dolgozói, a falu vezetése és a fenntartó eddig is sok mindent megtettek. Iskolánkban a nevelőtestület 14 fő pedagógusból áll, amelyből 5 fő tanító, 8 fő tanár és 1 fő gyógypedagógus. A szakos ellátottság megfelelő, minden pedagógusnak legalább két szakja van. Feladatunk nem könnyű, mivel az egyes osztályok összetétele rendkívül heterogén: jó és gyengébb képességű, integráltan oktatott sajátos nevelési igényű, HH és HHH tanulók egyaránt vannak. Pedagógiai munkánkat mindezen sajátosságok alapján végezzük, évek óta alkalmazzuk az integrált pedagógiai rendszert (IPR), melynek működő munkacsoportjai segítik a tanulók mind sokrétűbb felkészítését. Az iskola a projekt keretében olyan eszközöket kíván beszerezni, amelyek a mindennapi oktatáshoz elengedhetetlenek. Be kívánjuk rendezni a természettudományi szaktantermet, mozgásfejlesztő termet, illetve a fizika, kémia és a technika órák zavartalan lebonyolításához szükséges eszközök kerülnek beszerzésre. Az iskola a tanulók és tanulócsoportok elhelyezéséhez megfelelő számú tanteremmel rendelkezik. A felújítás 3 tanteremben indokolt. Az iskola épületben található vizesblokk szintén rossz állapotban van, az épület építése óta nem került felújításra, ezért már a vízvezetékek töröttek, néhol szivárog a víz, illetve a mosdók, ajtók, toalettek amortizálódtak. A nyílászárók cseréje esedékes, a homlokzati hőszigetelésnek, a villamoshálózat megújításának és a fűtéskorszerűsítésének köszönhetően energiahatékonyabban működhet az intézmény. (Hungarian)

The institution is located in Sirok, the village is located 20 km from Eger in Heves county, with a population of about 2 000 people. During the school’s 90 years of existence, there was a school year when the number of pupils exceeded 350. Unfortunately, in recent decades, the number of schools has been steadily decreasing as a result of the decrease in child births and migration from villages. A further negative impact is a significant reduction in the number of jobs, which has led to an increase in unemployment in the region and an increase in the number of disadvantaged families. From 2007 onwards, the enrolment area of the municipal school was extended: it is also the district school of the students of the smaller settlements — Szajla, Terpes, Bükkszék — within 10 km of the area. On average, the number of entrances is 40 %, and they are transported by scheduled buses in the morning and afternoon. The institution has 8 grades with one class and 2 day care groups. As of January 2013, the Klebelsberg Centre is the maintenance and operation of the Klebelsberg Centre. Unfortunately, the decline in staff continues, the proximity of the city of Eger, the relatively good public transport and the fact that many parents work in Eger mean that quite a lot of local students do not attend the local educational institution. This also has a negative impact on the composition of the number of pupils, as the number of disadvantaged families in the area is high and the children of these families are not taken to city schools. However, it is important that the school in the village is maintained and that the pupils attending it receive high-quality education. To this end, the staff of the school, the management of the village and the maintainer have already done a lot. In our school, the educational board consists of 14 teachers, of which 5 are teachers, 8 teachers and 1 special teacher. The specialisation is adequate, each teacher has at least two majors. Our task is not easy, as the composition of each class is extremely heterogeneous: both HH and HHH students are both good and weaker, with integrated education needs. We carry out our pedagogical work on the basis of all these characteristics, and we have been using the integrated pedagogical system (IPR) for years, whose working teams help to prepare students more and more diversely. As part of the project, the school intends to acquire tools that are essential for everyday education. We wish to arrange the natural science classroom, motion development room, and the equipment necessary for the undisturbed conduct of physics, chemistry and technology classes. The school has a sufficient number of classrooms to accommodate pupils and groups of students. The renovation is justified in 3 classrooms. The water block in the school building is also in poor condition, and it has not been renovated since the construction of the building, so the plumbing is broken, water leaks and toilets, doors and toilets are amortised. The replacement of doors and windows is due, and thanks to the thermal insulation of the facade, the renewal of the electricity network and the modernisation of the heating system, the institution can operate more energy-efficiently.
