Este projeto pretende modernizar o sector agroalimentar da região Norte através de duas linhas de I&D&I. Na primeira, pretende-se aplicar a genómica a três níveis do sector agroalimentar: (1) Produção (2) vigilância sanitária e, (3) recursos florestais. Na segunda, pretende-se compreender os mecanismos de gestão da biodiversidade e o equilíbrio agroambiental para o desenvolvimento da produção sustentada, segurança alimentar e ecoturismo. Die erste ist die Anwendung der Genomik auf drei Ebenen des Agrar- und Lebensmittelsektors: (1) Produktion (2) Gesundheitsüberwachung und (3) Waldressourcen. In der zweiten Phase geht es darum, die Mechanismen des Biodiversitätsmanagements und des Agrarumweltgleichgewichts für die Entwicklung nachhaltiger Produktion, Ernährungssicherheit und Ökotourismus zu verstehen.
