Svrha projekta je razvoj projektne dokumentacije potrebne za provedbu projekta CENTAR ZA ISTRAŽIVANJE, RAZVOJ I INOVACIJE (CIRI), koji uključuje ulaganje u IRI infrastrukturu i provedbu organizacijske reforme STROJARSKOG FAKULTETA U SLAVONSKOM BRODU, kako bi se pospješio i ubrzao proces transformacije STROJARSKOG FAKULTETA u međunarodno konkurentnu znanstvenu instituciju koja stvara novu znanstvenu, društvenu i ekonomsku vrijednost.Realizacija projekta CIRI će imati pozitivan utjecaj na jačanje istraživačkih kapaciteta i konkurentnosti STROJARSKOG FAKULTETA , te će omogućiti provedbu vrhunskih istraživanja i uspostavu učinkovite suradnje s drugim istraživačkim organizacijama i gospodarstvom u provedbi ciljanih ulaganja sukladno S3 .
