    La ecografía dermatológica surge como una especialización de la ecografía de partes blandas con un foco en los problemas y situaciones que afectan a los dermatólogos en su clínica diaria en el estudio de las enfermedades inflamatorias, tumorales y alteraciones estéticas de la piel y anejos.El objetivo principal de este estudio es evaluar la validez diagnóstica de la ecografía dermatológica de alta frecuencia, como prueba diagnóstica en lesiones tumorales no melanocíticas . Se trata de que se complemente la impresión clínica con una prueba con alta sensibilidad pero que a su vez tenga mejor especificidad evitando así cirugías innecesarias. Se propone un estudio de validación prospectiva en el que en una cohorte de sujetos destinatarios de cirugía según práctica clínica habitual se realiza en un primer momento el test a validar, para seguir hasta alcanzar el diagnóstico definitivo por otros medios (en este caso cirugía más anatomía patológica como gold standar). Este carácter prospectivo y el hecho de aplicar el test antes de realizar el diagnóstico, permite además el control de los principales sesgos, pudiendo asegurar tanto la evaluación independiente del test a validar y del test diagnóstico con el que se compara, como que todos los sujetos, independientemente de sus resultados, se sometan al proceso diagnóstico completo. La dermoscopia que permite evaluar lesiones melanocítica no tiene indicación en las lesiones tumorales benignas subcutáneas al encontrarse recubiertas por piel normal o bien queda limitada si hay dudas por no presentar hallazgos dermoscópicos característicos.     Dermatological ultrasound arises as a specialisation of soft part ultrasound with a focus on the problems and situations that affect dermatologists in their daily clinic in the study of inflammatory diseases, tumors and aesthetic alterations of the skin and annexes.The main objective of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic validity of high-frequency dermatological ultrasound, as a diagnostic test in non-melanocytic tumor lesions. It is about complementing the clinical impression with a test with high sensitivity but which in turn has better specificity thus avoiding unnecessary surgeries. A prospective validation study is proposed in which in a cohort of subjects targeted for surgery according to usual clinical practice, the test to be validated is performed at first, to continue until the definitive diagnosis is reached by other means (in this case surgery more pathological anatomy such as gold standar). This prospective nature and the fact of applying the test before making the diagnosis also allows the control of the main biases, being able to ensure both the independent evaluation of the test to be validated and the diagnostic test with which it is compared, and that all subjects, regardless of their results, undergo the complete diagnostic process. Dermoscopy that allows melanocytic lesions to be evaluated has no indication in subcutaneous benign tumor lesions when covered by normal skin or is limited if there is no doubt that there is no characteristic dermoscopic findings.
