In this research project we propose to show that the cardiovascular risk measured by the intima-media carotid index after metabolic surgery decreases in the men involved, being of greater magnitude not only in those who experience a greater decrease in excess body fat and abdominal fat, but also in those who best correct the deficiency of testosterone associated with obesity. For this we propose a prospective, non-randomised interventional study with two metabolic surgery techniques and a control group in men with grade 3 or grade 2 obesity with cardiovascular risk factors associated with metabolic surgery candidates.
