MIENTRAS QUE LOS RESULTADOS DE LIMPIEZA DE PATINA BIOLOGICA POCO COMPLEJA (VERDINES DE ALGAS Y CIANOFICEAS, CON HONGOS) Y GRAFITI FUERON EXCELENTES, SIENDO POSIBLE SELECCIONAR LAS CONDICIONES MAS FAVORABLES PARA OBTENER LA MAXIMA LIMPIEZA CON EL MINIMO DAÑO AL GRANITO, LA EFICACIA EN LA ELIMINACION DE LA COSTRA NEGRA SULFATADA FUE, SIN EMBARGO, MUY LIMITADA. WHILE THE RESULTS OF CLEANING OF UNCOMPLEX BIOLOGICAL PATINA (ALGAE AND CYANOFICEOUS GREENS, WITH FUNGI) AND GRAFFITI WERE EXCELLENT, BEING POSSIBLE TO SELECT THE MOST FAVORABLE CONDITIONS TO OBTAIN MAXIMUM CLEANING WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE TO GRANITE, THE EFFECTIVENESS IN THE ELIMINATION OF SULFATED BLACK CRUST WAS, HOWEVER, VERY LIMITED. SINCE THE SAME TYPE OF CARBONATED ROCK CRUST IS CLEANED MORE OR LESS EFFECTIVELY AS EXTRACTED FROM THE LITERATURE, THIS INEFFECTIVENESS IN GRANITIC ROCKS SUGGESTS A POSSIBLE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE MAIN COMPONENT OF THE CRUST AND THE GRANITIC SUBSTRATE DURING LASER IRRADIATION, AN INTERACTION THAT WOULD RECONFIRM THE PARTICULARITIES OF THIS TYPE OF ROCKS IN THE FIELD OF DIRECT INTERVENTION IN THE HERITAGE, AND THE NEED TO DEFINE SPECIFIC PROTOCOLS, IN THIS CASE OF LASER CLEANING, APPROPRIATE TO THEIR PARTICULARITIES.
