    La rentabilidad de cultivo actualmente es baja y si no se desarrolla un sistema de riego optimizado y se implementa en las producciones, éste dejará de ser una opción de cultivo. Una situación de este calibre no sólo afectaría a DARYMA como empresa, sino a todo el Grupo TRANSA y por extensión, a todos los productores de tomate de la región y Extremadura, restando competitividad a la zona y sus empresas locales dentro del mercado del tomate, donde los principales competidores son grupos empresariales grandes, muy sólidos y con presencia internacional. Para tener éxito en este último factor es estrictamente necesario ser competitivos, ya que las exportaciones, cambios de divisas, etc. aumentan en “exceso” el precio de los productos agroalimentarios, donde un precio final competitivo en el lineal del retailer es decisivo._x000D_ _x000D_ Mejorar la productividad del uso del agua para aumentar la producción del cultivo del tomate, a través de la concentración de oxígeno que hay disuelto en el agua (ODA)._x000D_ El principal reto tecnológico del proyecto es cuantificar la cantidad de aire que se debe inyectar al sistema de riego (a través de Venturis) para que no perjudique a la distribución de agua mediante goteo, además de analizar y determinar el momento idóneo para dicha inyección de aire al cultivo.
