    Dada la situación demográfica, sanitaria y económica parece obligado buscar alternativas al modelo asistencial actual. La tecnología debe ser el punto de apoyo substancial en este cambio. OBJETIVO GENERAL: Determinar el impacto que produce la aplicación de un sistema de Inteligencia Artificial (Machine Learning) en un programa activo de telemonitorización de pacientes EPOC reingresadores. Objetivos concretos: Determinar los cambios en: - Utilización de recursos sanitarios. - La calidad de vida de los pacientes. -Costes. -Carga de trabajo. -Práctica clínica diaria. -Marcadores de inflamación. MÉTODOS: Basado en el programa telEPOC y en el desarrollo que se está llevando a cabo de Machine Learning en este proyecto, estudio de intervención no aleatorizado, con dos ramas: intervención (hospital Galdakao) y control (hospital de Cruces y de Basurto). Tamaño muestral de al menos 115 pacientes por hospital (115 en la rama intervención y 230 en la rama control). Seguimiento durante 2 años. Se aplicarán análisis estadísticos uni y multivativariales. METHODS: Based on the telEPOC program and the ongoing development of Machine Learning in this project, non-randomised intervention study, with two branches: intervention (hospital Galdakao) and control (hospital of Cruces and Basurto). Sample size of at least 115 patients per hospital (115 in the intervention branch and 230 in the control branch). Follow-up for 2 years. Uni and multivativary statistical analyses shall be applied.
