The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the Targu Bujor City Hospital, Galati county, which is the main building body where the medical activities with continuous flow are currently carried out. Improving the energy efficiency of the existing fund of public buildings is essential, not only to achieve the national targets for energy efficiency in the medium term, but also to meet the long-term objectives of the strategy on climate change and the transition to a competitive economy with low CO2 emissions by 2050. Moreover, the project proposes complementary renovation and modernisation activities, as well as energy efficiency measures to improve the energy performance of the public building – the C17 building within the Targu Bujor City Hospital, Galati county. The planned results and the proposed activities will lead to the achievement of programme indicators, with an impact on the socio-economic evolution of the area, as well as on the public services provided to the population throughout the adjacent area. At the same time, the proposed project will respond to the Specific Objective of Priority Axis 3: from the 2014-2020 ROP because the project activities involve the implementation of technical solutions for thermal rehabilitation of the C17 building within the Targu Bujor City Hospital, Galati County, in order to reduce energy consumption, the financial resources allocated to the energy payment while maintaining the hygiene and comfort conditions throughout the year, for both medical professionals and hospitalised patients. The implementation of the project activities will lead to the achievement of the predetermined indicators related to the C17 building within the Targu Bujor City Hospital, Galati county by reducing the specific annual level of greenhouse gases (equivalent to CO2 tonnes) from 64,087 to 8,547 and the annual primary energy consumption from 344894.33 to 202113,156. Also, the implementation of the project aims to: renovation and modernisation of the infrastructure related to body C17; renewable energy sources will be created that will provide a fairly high share of primary energy consumption; reduction of annual primary energy consumption; using ecological building materials with a fire reaction class A1 or A2-s1,d0, introducing passive energy recovery systems and ensuring equal opportunities by creating facilities and adapting the construction to the needs of people with disabilities. Energy efficiency measures will be applied to a single building body that is part of a single building, with a single cadastral number and consists of a self-standing functional unit. This building body is occupied and managed by a sanitary unit of zoning importance – Tg Bujor City Hospital serving through its services a population of over 67,000 inhabitants (all of them) (English)
