(Spanish)

The efficiency and sustainability of the productive processes in the farms and companies of the agri-food sector of the territory is a necessity in order to assure their competitiveness in the medium and long term. The use of technologies with great innovative potential is key in order to achieve tangible results. In this sense, three challenges that have a high transformational potential have been identified. On the one hand, the technification will not be possible without an integrated treatment of the large amount of data generated by the new devices. On the other hand, there is an increasing need for new ways of food preservation and consumer-ready products. The added value that this would represent is an opportunity for our territory. Failure of innovating in this area ivlove losing very significant potential benefits. This trend needs to be reversed. Finally, energy efficiency is a key factor in many productive processes. This operation addresses these three aspects in order to contribute to the general objective of the PECT. In addition, it is essential to inform the agents of the sector about the advances achieved through these actions, exchange ideas on similar initiatives and from this point identify future opportunities or applications for which we plan to organize conferences and technical conferences for the dissemination of technology . The operation promotes strategic projects that act as a lever of the generation of innovations in the territory by addressing, as a starting point, the previous three challenges of the agri-food sector that respond with four actions: Agritech BIG DATA A virtual platform will be launched that will enhance the different types of data that are generated in this field, a key aspect in order to get real performance in the technologies associated with production control: sensors, drones, aerial photography, etc. This platform will be a meeting point for companies in the sector, administration and technological provision, and will become a benchmark for the Catalan agri-food sector. It will be based within the Science Park and will facilitate the development of ideas and the generation of projects with companies in the sector. The platform will also develop methods to guide decision making for the different processes. The platform will be offered to companies, who can benefit from the evaluation of data in real time, allowing a reduction of costs and an improvement in production performance. Food technology A pilot plant for the development of food and innovative processes with gastronomic interest, located in the Science Park will be launched and will be attended by the research groups of the Department of Food Technology of the UdL, a worldwide reference in this topic . The plant will have the capacity to carry out industrial demonstration activities of ready-to-eat food products and will have different processing lines with the latest and most innovative technological alternatives. Collaborative projects will be promoted between companies in the sector and the university, which will contribute value to the results that are generated. Improvement of the energy efficiency of companies in the agri-food sector The University of Lleida has international prestige in solar energy systems, in storage of thermal energy, in sustainable construction and in the evaluation of non-technological barriers to the implementation of new energy technologies. The action will consolidate the facilities available in Lleida in this area so that the companycan develop and test new products, ideas and technologies. The action will develop a pioneering facility in Catalonia in renewable energy (LIES - Laboratory for Energy Research and Sustainability) for the design of farms and buildings for food processing and slaughterhouses. Scientific and business meetings to improve networking and innovation The commitment to an ecosystem of innovation requires the exchange of ideas and the establishment of contacts between professionals in order to identify new opportunities and technological advances that can be useful in the achievement of the challenges we pose in the whole of the PECT INNO4AGRO. Accordingly, two biannual congresses will be organized with the participation of researchers and public managers from all over Europe and several local technical workshops that will be coordinated with other technological dissemination activities organized by the DARP.
