    EL OBJETIVO DE NUESTRO PROYECTO ES ALLANAR EL CAMINO A LA CARACTERIZACION DE LAS ATMOSFERAS DE PLANETAS ROCOSOS EN UN FUTURO PROXIMO, INCLUIDA LA POSIBLE DETECCION DE BIOMARCADORES. ACTUALMENTE, ESTAMOS TRABAJANDO EN LA EXPLOTACION DE LA MISION TESS DE LA NASA. PRONTO LE SEGUIRA EL CHARACTERIZING EXOPLANET SATELLITE EXOPLANET (CHEOPS), LA PRIMERA MISION TIPO S DE LA ESA, CON UN LANZAMIENTO ESPERADO A MEDIADOS DE 2019. SERA LA PRIMERA MISION DEDICADA A LA BUSQUEDA DE TRANSITOS MEDIANTE FOTOMETRIA DE PRECISION ULTRAELEVADA EN ESTRELLAS BRILLANTES DE LAS QUE YA SE SABE QUE ALBERGAN PLANETAS. LA MISION ARIEL, DEDICADA A LA CARACTERIZACION SISTEMATICA DE ATMOSFERAS DE EXOPLANETAS, SERA UNA OPORTUNIDAD DE ORO PARA APROVECHAR LA GRAN CANTIDAD DE DESCUBRIMIENTOS QUE PROPORCIONARAN ESTAS MISIONES ANTERIORES. ARIEL OBSERVARA LA ATMOSFERA DE ALREDEDOR DE 1000 EXOPLANETAS ORBITANDO ESTRELLAS CERCANAS CON EL OBJETIVO DE ESTUDIAR SU COMPOSICION, ASI COMO SU FORMACION Y EVOLUCION. EN SYNERGIA CON ESTAS MISIONES, NUESTRO GRUPO PROPORCIONARA APOYO A TRAVES DE OBSERVACIONES TERRESTRES PARA LA CONFIRMACION DE PLANETAS, PERO TAMBIEN PARA EXPLORAR LAS ATMOSFERAS DE LOS OBJETOS MAS PROMETEDORES, A TRAVES DE NUESTRA EXPERIENCIA DE VANGUARDIA EN PROYECTOS DE ESPECTROSCOPIA DE TRANSMISION BAJA Y ALTA RESOLUCION ESPECTRAL. TAMBIEN ESTAMOS MUY INVOLUCRADOS EN EL DESARROLLO DEL ESPECTROGRAFO HIRES PARA EL ELT, QUE SERA EL PRIMER INSTRUMENTO CAPAZ DE DETECTAR LA ATMOSFERAS DE PLANETAS SIMILARES A LA DE LA TIERRA.     THE AIM OF OUR PROJECT IS TO PAVE THE WAY TO THE CHARACTERIZATION OF THE ATMOSPHERES OR ROCKY PLANETS IN THE NEAR FUTURE, INCLUDING THE POSSIBLE DETECTION OF BIOMARKER COMPONENTS. CURRENTLY, WE ARE WORKING ON THE EXPLOITATION OF THE NASA¿S TESS MISSION. IT WILL BE SOON FOLLOWED BY THE CHARACTERIZING EXOPLANET SATELLITE (CHEOPS), THE FIRST ESA S-TYPE MISSION, WITH AN EXPECTED LAUNCH IN MID 2019. IT WILL BE THE FIRST MISSION DEDICATED TO SEARCH FOR TRANSITS BY MEANS OF ULTRAHIGH PRECISION PHOTOMETRY ON BRIGHT STARS ALREADY KNOWN TO HOST PLANETS. THE ARIEL MISSION, DEDICATED TO THE SYSTEMATIC CHARACTERIZATION OF EXOPLANET ATMOSPHERES, WILL BE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO LEVERAGE ON THE TROBE OF DISCOVERIES THESE PREVIOUS MISSIONS WILL PROVIDE. ARIEL WILL OBSERVE THE ATMOSPHERE OF ABOUT 1000 EXOPLANETS ORBITING NEARBY STARS WITH THE AIM OF STUDYING THEIR COMPOSITION AS WELL AS THEIR FORMATION AND EVOLUTION. THOUGHT ALL THIS MISSIONS, OUR GROUP WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT VIA GROUND-BASED OBSERVATIONS TO CONFIRM, BUT ALSO TO EXPLORE THE ATMOSPHERES OF THE MOST PROMISING TARGETS, VIA OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART EXPERTISE IN LOW AND HIGH SPECTRAL RESOLUTION TRANSMISSION SPECTROSCOPY PROJECT. WE ARE ALSO HEAVILY INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HIRES SPECTROGRAPH FOR THE ELT, WHICH WILL BE THE FIRST INSTRUMENT ABLE TO DETECT THE PLANET ATMOSPHERE SIMILAR TO THE EARTH¿S. (English)
