El equipamiento solicitado se integraría en la División de Fabricación Aditiva de los Servicios Centrales de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas de la UCA. La incorporación del equipamiento persigue la mejora de las prestaciones que ofrece la división, tanto para el desarrollo de materiales para fabricación aditiva como para el servicio de fabricación aditiva ofrecido a grupos de investigación y centros de I+D, de la UCA y externos, así como a empresas. La propuesta incluye, por una parte, equipamiento para el desarrollo de materiales termoplásticos (simples o de naturaleza compuesta) en granza, para su transformación en filamentos. Por otra, dos impresoras 3D para la fabricación aditiva de probetas y prototipos utilizando los filamentos desarrollados y otros comerciales. Permitirá realizar I+D en los materiales que se desarrollarán para cubrir las necesidades y oportunidades de mejora detectadas por la división, tras dos años de funcionamiento, prestando servicio a entidades de I+D y a empresas. Esta ayuda permitirá ampliar la oferta de fabricación aditiva actual de la división, a un coste menor, en mayores volúmenes de trabajo y con una mayor flexibilidad que la que se oferta con el equipamiento actual, introduciendo también la posibilidad de prototipar con materiales diseñados a medida y con mayores prestaciones termo-mecánicas que las actualmente disponibles en la división. The equipment would be integrated in the Division of Additive Manufacturing of the UCA Central Services for Technological and Scientific Research. This equipment pursues the improvement of the facilities offered by the division, both for developing materials for additive manufacturing and for the additive manufacturing service offered to R&D groups and centers, from UCA and outside, and to the companies. The proposal includes, on one side, equipment for developing thermoplastic materials (simple and composites) as pellets, for their transformation in filaments. On the other hand, two 3D printers for additive manufacturing of samples and prototypes using the developed and other comercial filaments. It will allow carry out R&D in the materials developed to satisfy the needs and opportunities of improvement detected from the división, after two years of work, offering services to R&D entities and companies. This will make posible to increase the current offer of additive manufacturing of the division, with a reduced cost, larger build volumes and increased flexibility, opening also the possibility to prototype with materials designed ad hoc and with better thermomechanical properties tan those currently available in the division.
