The general objective of the proposed project to finance is to improve the necessary infrastructure for the use of clean modes of transport, with electric or hybrid cars, and non-motorised transport, with bicycles, as well as pedestrian movements, in order to reduce the number of travels by private transport (personal cars) and, implicitly, to reduce the CO2 equivalent emissions from transport. Through the targeted actions, the project falls within the Specific Objective of ROP 3.2 “Reduction of carbon emissions in urban areas based on sustainable urban mobility plans”, under the investment priority 4e “Promoting low-carbon strategies for all types of territories, especially for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures”.
