Como já referido, trata-se da zona de acesso ao Museu dos Descobrimentos, que diariamente tem muito tráfego pedonal.A presente proposta, surge no seguimento da reabilitação de um troço da Rua Pedro Álvares Cabral, que visa proporcionar melhor qualidade e acessibilidade ao mencionado percurso central de Belmonte, designadamente, a vários edifícios onde se encontram as principais instituições da vila.
