The consequence of this is a low development capacity and low innovation capacity. Analyses indicate that gender equality and diversity are some of the most important drivers for development and innovation. In order to increase the capacity for development and innovation, the support system needs to be renewed and more clearly organised. The project aims at these challenges through, among other things, efforts to gather the support system’s actors in what the applicant calls skills platforms in comparison to the classic drainpipe thinking where idea carriers find it difficult to find the right support. There are currently a number of skills platforms that gather actors, for example in social innovation, but they need to be coordinated, developed and made available throughout the county. Värmland har en låg diversifiering i näringslivet, vilket leder till små homogena grupper och nätverk med homogen kompetens. Konsekvensen av detta är en låg utvecklingskapacitet och låg innovationsförmåga. Analyser pekar på att jämställdhet och mångfald är några av de viktigaste drivkrafterna för utveckling och innovation. För att höja utvecklings- och innovationsförmågan behöver stödsystemet förnyas och på ett tydligare sätt vara organiserat. Projektet tar sikte på dessa utmaningar genom bland annat insatser för att samla stödsystemets aktörer i det som sökanden kallar kompetensplattformar i jämförelse med det klassiska stuprörstänket där idébärare har svårt att finna rätt stöd. Det finns idag ett antal kompetensplattformar som samlar aktörer, exempelvis inom social innovation, men de behöver samordnas, utvecklas samt tillgängliggöras i hela länet. Projektet har därför som avsikt att etablera ett mobilt innovationssystem med ökad fysisk och digital närvaro utanför Karlstad. (Swedish)
