The overall goal of the project is to establish an internationally recognised test and demonstration environment in Västra Götaland for enhanced competitiveness where companies in wood manufacturing together with the academy carry out development projects that lead to innovation, sustainable production and business development and attract external research and development funding. The project will utilise Västra Götaland’s cutting-edge expertise and drive development issues in production development automation robotisation and digitisation in order to create needs-driven solutions. Projektets övergripande mål är att i Västra Götaland etablera en internationellt erkänd test- och demonstrationsmiljö för stärkt konkurrensförmåga där företag inom trämanufaktur tillsammans med akademin driver utvecklingsarbeten som leder till innovation, hållbar produktion och affärsutveckling samt attraherar extern forsknings- och utvecklingsfinansiering. Projektet ska nyttja Västra Götalands spetskompetenser och driva utvecklingsfrågor inom produktionsutveckling automation robotisering och digitalisering för att skapa behovsdrivna lösningar. Detta skall göras genom produktions- och processanalyser, kunskapsbaserade workshops och seminarier, etablering av samverkansnätverk och testbäddar där tester och demonstrationer genomförs. Flerbostadsbyggandet i trä ökar och ger stora klimatvinster. Projektet ämnar resultera i att fler aktörer söker sig till branschen. (Swedish)
