THIS PHENOMENON FINDS ITS REASON TO BE IN A MULTIPLICITY OF FACTORS SUCH AS LOW EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE SOCIOCULTURAL DISADVANTAGE FAMILY BACKGROUND POOR MOTIVATION TO STUDY ERRORS IN SCHOLASTIC STUDIES. THESE FACTORS OFTEN INTERTWINE WITH EACH OTHER WITH STRONG AND DIFFICULT TO MODIFY TIES THAT MARK THE SCHOOL FATE OF PUPILS. IT IS NO COINCIDENCE THAT THE HIGHEST RATES OF ABANDONMENT ARE RECORDED IN TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL INSTITUTES WHERE PUPILS ARE GENERALLY LESS MOTIVATED TO STUDY AND WHICH ARE NOT APPROPRIATELY DIRECTED BY BASIC SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES.
