FUNCTIONALLY, CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET PROVIDE FOR THE TRACKING OF CHANGES ONLY IF ONE COMPONENT IS REPLACED WITH ANOTHER COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COMPONENT. THE SYSTEMS, EVEN IF THEY ARE PREPARED TO DRAW UP A SERIAL CHANGE, DO NOT MAKE THEM EFFECTIVE © IT IS A COMPLEX OPERATION, SINCE THE COMPONENT MUST BE DISMANTLED IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY WHERE THE SERIAL NUMBER IS TAKEN.
