Observatoř Pierra Augera je největší projekt v oblasti detekce kosmického záření ultravysokých energií. Za dvanáct let provozu se podařilo zodpovědět mnohé otázky, které stavbu motivovaly, avšak mnohé další vyvstaly. České týmy se podílely na stavbě a fungování observatoře od samého začátku. Cílem tohoto projektu je zajistit pokračování a prohloubení mezinárodní spolupráce v oblasti analýzy dat a funkce detektoru a dovybavit laboratoř v Praze tak, aby bylo možné přispět k upgradu observatoře. a.
