The project will be carried out on the basis of a partnership agreement concluded between the Association of the Great Lakes Region 2020 (the lead partner), the municipalities (Pisz, Orzyz, Rucianemne) and the District of Piaski and participating in the project, the State Treasury — State holdings of Forest Forests: Masklińskie, Pisz, Gizycko), the State Treasury — General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Olsztyn Branch. The succession of the southern part of the Mazur cycle is a link between the southern part of the Mazur network and the route built under that programme, which runs through the northern border of the province. Phase II — The North East Region of North East Mazury region will be located within the administrative boundaries of the municipalities of: Pisz, Orzyz, Rucianem-Nida). Routing: Heartway — Ockarowo — Karwik — Pisz — Wisartel — Karwica — Krzyże — Ruciane-Nida — Isota. The project will create approximately 91 km of noise, 37 junctions, 10 engineering structures (bridges, tunnels, culverts, resistance structures), 2 view towers, 6 cyclists. The project demonstrates consistency with the objectives of the priority axis 6-Culture and the legacy of the ROP WiM in the SZOOP, as it will result in the built bicycle route, maintaining the competitive advantage of Warmia and Mazury over other regions based on natural heritage resources. Projekt będzie realizowany na podstawie umowy partnerskiej zawartej pomiędzy Stowarzyszeniem Wielkie Jeziora Mazurskie 2020 (partnerem wiodącym), gminami (Pisz, Orzysz, Rucianem-Nida) i powiatem Piskim oraz uczestniczącymi w projekcie, Skarbem Państwa – Państwowymi Gospodarstwami Leśnymi Lasy Państwowe (Nadleśnictwa: Maskulińskie, Pisz, Gizycko), Skarbem Państwa – Generalną Dyrekcją Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad oddział Olsztyn. Niniejszy projekt: Etap II – Południowo-wschodni Trakt Rowerowy Krainy Wielkich Jezior Mazurskich jest oddzielnym i niezależnie funkcjonującym elementem składowym przedsięwzięcia zintegrowanego pn. Etap II – Północno-Wschodni Trakt Rowerowy Krainy Wielkich Jezior Mazurskich zostanie zlokalizowany w granicach administracyjnych gmin: Pisz, Orzysz, Rucianem-Nida). Przebieg trasy: Cieżpięty – Okartowo – Karwik – Pisz – Wiartel – Karwica – Krzyże – Ruciane-Nida - Iznota. W ramach projektu powstanie około 91 km szklaku, 37 skrzyżowań, 10 obiektów inżynierskich (obiekty mostowe, tunele, przepusty, konstrukcje oporowe), 2 wieże widokowe, 6 miejsc obsługi rowerzystów. Projekt wykazuje spójność z celami osi priorytetowej 6- Kultura i dziedzictwo RPO WiM wskazanymi w SZOOP, ponieważ jego efektem będzie wybudowany szlak rowerowy, umożliwiający utrzymanie przewagi konkurencyjnej Warmii i Mazur nad innymi regionami w oparciu o zasoby dziedzictwa naturalnego.
