The subject of the project is the implementation of research (industrial research and experimental development work) aimed at developing innovative technology enabling the full use of the most modern mutli spectral scanners in the world market. The project will develop a self-learning IT analytical platform supporting the vegetation management process based on image data from photogrammetric cameras and a cloud of points of multi-spectral laser scanner (LIDAR). Ultimately, the platform will be implemented in a cloud environment operated by OPEGIEKA Sp. z o.o.. Thanks to this, users will be able to use advanced algorithms for processing and extraction of information from the point cloud for their own work related to both analysis and inventory of vegetation and obtaining other data on objects on the ground. The location of the project is the Applicant’s plant located in Elbląg near al. Millennium 11 (Z. No. 45/38 and 104 within registration no. 21). The project will be implemented in the period 01.01.2018-31.12.2020. The project fits into the assumptions set out in the SzOOP RPO WiM 2014-2020 due to the focus on the development of research processes in SMEs in order to diffuse their results to the economy of the region. The project will increase the company’s innovation in the areas of smart specialisation (Wood and Furniture and Water Economy) thanks to its R & D activities, which directly implements thematic objective no. 1 of the cohesion policy: “Strengthening research, technological development and innovation”.
