Projekt obejmuje budowę budynku na potrzeby laboratoriów badawczych inżynierii biomedycznej, a także nabycie stanowiących wyposażenie tych laboratoriów środków trwałych i wartości niematerialnych i prawnych. Infrastruktura projektu służyć będzie zaawansowanym pracom badawczym, a także będzie udostępniana przedsiębiorstwom, co przyczyni się do rozwoju innowacyjnych technik badawczych i produkcyjnych. Realizacja projektu wpłynie na wzrost konkurencyjności firm regionu i pozwoli na ich uczestnictwo m.in. w polskich i europejskich platformach technologicznych, tworząc szanse na skuteczne wykorzystanie możliwości jakie niesie międzynarodowa kooperacja oraz konkurowanie z firmami działającymi w branży wyrobów medycznych.
