The project implemented by the Municipality of Siewierz consists of equipping the Volunteer Fire Service unit in Siewierz with a new heavy rescue and fire extinguishing vehicle and a high-performance pump unit. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the potential of the OSP Siewierz to prevent and remove the effects of natural disasters, i.e. to conduct rescue operations related to adverse climate-related events. The purchase of equipment will help to improve the operational readiness of the OSP Siewierz and the effectiveness of its activities, which will translate into increasing the safety of residents of its area – both Siewierz, the municipality of Siewierz and the whole district of Będzin – the area of operation of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Będzin. The unit’s membership of the National Rescue and Firefighting System (KSRG) means that the implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening the potential not only of the designated OSP unit but also of the entire CSRG. Projekt realizowany przez Gminę Siewierz polega na wyposażeniu jednostki Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej w Siewierzu w nowy ciężki samochód ratowniczo - gaśniczy oraz agregat pompowy przewoźny o dużej wydajności. Głównym celem projektu jest wzmocnienie potencjału OSP Siewierz do przeciwdziałania i usuwania skutków klęsk żywiołowych, tj. prowadzenia akcji ratowniczych związanych z wystąpieniem niekorzystnych zdarzeń związanych z klimatem. Zakup wyposażenia przyczyni się do poprawy stanu gotowości operacyjnej OSP Siewierz i skuteczności jej działań, co przełoży się na zwiększenie bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców obszaru jej działania – zarówno miejscowości Siewierz, Gminy Siewierz i całego powiatu będzińskiego - obszaru działania Komendy Powiatowej Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Będzinie. Przynależność jednostki do Krajowego Systemu Ratowniczo-Gaśniczego (KSRG) sprawia, że realizacja przedsięwzięcia przyczyni się do wzmocnienia potencjału nie tylko wskazanej jednostki OSP ale i całego KSRG.
