Wnioskodawcą przedmiotowego projektu jest Gminny Ośrodek Kultury w Czyżach- samorządowa instytucja kultury, nad którą bezpośredni nadzór sprawuje Wójt Gminy. Celem głównym przedmiotowego projektu jest zachowanie i promowanie potencjału kulturowego LGD Puszcza Białowieska, w tym zasobów niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego poprzez doposażenie Gminnego Ośrodka Kultury w Czyżach. Cel główny realizowany będzie poprzez następujące cele szczegółowe 1. Zachowanie i promocja niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego LGD Puszcza Białowieska 2. Zwiększenie atrakcyjności turystycznej obszaru LGD Puszcza Białowieska. Korzyści społeczno- gospodarcze: 1.Utrwalenie więzi społecznych i międzypokoleniowych. 2.Integracja społeczności lokalnej. 3.Wzrost zainteresowania mieszkańców obszaru Puszczy Białowieskiej oraz turystów folklorem i bogactwem kulturowym LGD. 4.Rozszerzenie oferty kulturalnej oferowanej przez Gminny Ośrodek Kultury w Czyżach (warsztaty artystyczne dla dzieci i młodzieży). 5.Zwiększenie ilości imprez kulturalno- rekreacyjnych organizowanych przez Gminny Ośrodek Kultury, w tym imprez promujących bogate dziedzictwo kulturowe regionu Puszczy Białowieskiej.
