Property / summary
The project concerns the provision of favourable conservation conditions for the in situ conservation of endangered species through the reconstruction of the ‘Kwarrowówka’ water reservoir and the revalorisation of the garden part in the Freedom Park, which consists of the upgrading of existing areas of steam pipes with the setting up of elements of small architecture (benches, waste costs, information boards). The project will achieve the following indicators: PRODUCT Number of habitats/communities covered by the project — 1; RESULT: Surface area of habitats supported to achieve a better conservation status of 3.17 ha; The total surface area for which the favourable conservation status of the ecosystem is restored or ensured -3.17 ha. The project will, by its very nature, contribute to the restoration of conditions conducive to the development of biological life in the Freedom Park. This is particularly important for the protection of endangered species of animals (including comb grass) which have their habitat in the ‘Kwarratówka’ tank and its melting. In addition, the improvement of the technical condition of the reservoir will contribute to the overall development of flora and fauna. The planned information boards — by drawing attention to the endangered species found in the park — will contribute to an increase in environmental awareness. The area covered by the project covers the conservation area (the Freedom Park is recorded in the Register of Historical Monuments under No 244/90 of 23.03.1990). (English)

(Polish)
