The aim of the project is to introduce elements of the low-carbon economy in Dąbrowa Białostocka commune, which will contribute to the improvement of the environment, including in particular the quality of atmospheric air. As part of this competition, the applicant intends to carry out investments in 2 and 3 type of projects eligible for support. As part of type 2, it is planned to liquidate coal boilers in 12 residential buildings in the city of Dąbrowa Białostocka and replace them with boilers for pellets; As part of type 3, Dąbrowa Białostocka Municipality intends to modernise street lighting in order to improve its energy efficiency. To this end, it is planned to replace 711 street lighting luminaires in the city of Dąbrowa Białostocka for LED luminaires with individual control of the luminaires. The actions the Applicant intends to carry out within the project are included in the Low-Emission Economy Plan for the Municipality of Dąbrowa Białostocka for the years 2016-2020 adopted by Resolution No. XV/91/16 of the Municipal Council in Dąbrowa Białostocka of 11 March 2016 amended by Resolution No XXXII/194/17 of the Municipal Council in Dąbrowa Białostocka of 26 September 2017 on the amendment of the resolution on the adoption of the Białystok Municipality for the Low Emissions Economy Plan. Air quality will be improved as a result of the reduction of pollutant emissions from conventional methods of energy generation, mostly based on the burning of fossil fuels. It is estimated that the project will reduce emissions by 272.65 MgCO2/year (154.59 MgCO2/year (71 %) – reduction in emissions due to the modernisation of individual heat sources; 118, 06 MgCO2/year (100 %)- decrease in emissions due to the installation of energy-efficient lighting. Timetable for the actual implementation of the project: II-III quarter of 2018; preparatory work-IV quarter of 2017 The applicant applies for 65 % of the eligible costs in the project.
