The aim of the proposed co-financing project is to protect and exploit natural heritage as the tourist potential of ponds located in Lomaza and the area around them. The work will significantly improve the attractiveness of the place, mainly due to improved physical accessibility: construction of a parking lot, a walkway, construction of bridges. This investment is located at the site of the former brickyard, which after a period of vigorous activity became a degraded place. This investment is aimed at improving the infrastructure around the ponds, covering the entire area around, within the parcel belonging to the Applicant. The target group to which the project is directed are tourists, residents of the commune as well as the municipal authorities, which see the need to restore and preserve the natural and cultural heritage together with optimal use of the advantages of the natural environment to improve economic and tourist attractiveness. The project shall include: carrying out a walking-bike line with parking (two spaces for people with disabilities), making bicycle stands, lighting (16 masts with LED lighting), monitoring (two video cameras with independent power supply using photovoltaic panels and windmills with video preview on the Contractor’s website, land reclamation: cleansing, grubbing up shrubs, levelling the terrain and sowing grass, making information and tourist boards about the area, planting a gazebo for rest for cyclists and pedestrians, making of sanitary facilities together with toilets for the disabled, seating of a trash can and benches as well as 8 fishing platforms above the ponds. As a result of the investment, the number of visitors is expected to increase by around 18.47 % compared to 2017, and one marginalised person will be employed, while the degraded natural heritage covering the Lomaza pond area will be made available to a wider audience at the same time as its protection.
