The subject of the project will be the implementation of R & D works aimed at developing: innovative product, i.e. gardening substrate with reduced content of high peat and with the participation of unique components (4 product variants target) and its production technology. THE TECHNOLOGICAL ISSUE: • Identifying the applicable components of the garden substrate. • Developing and then creating a combination of components (ground mixtures) composed of waste/after-productive materials produced by the agricultural industry in Lubuskie and neighboring voivodships. • Testing the properties and performance of the manufactured combinations of components (taking into account the contribution and concentration of individual components and composting conditions). • Developing a composition of 4 substrate mixtures – universal for ornamental plants; for conifers, heathers and azaleas; for lawns; to the balcony plants. • Development of production technology by improving the composting process (construction of the prototype of an installation that takes samples in automatic mode, the concept of the prototype will concern sampling, controlling the quality of the compost). • Determining the optimal composition of the product (limiting the amount of peat, use of post-production waste) and parameters that stimulate the growth of crops grown (including an increase in their aesthetic value). Stage I – Development of the concept of technology for the production of horticultural substrates with defined quality parameters and carrying out multivariant technological tests on selected combinations of substrate components on a laboratory scale (VI 2018 – V 2019) Stage II – Development of industrial technology for the production of horticultural substrates by verifying accepted technological parameters and conducting tests under operational conditions (VI 2019 – V 2020) The project will be implemented in the form of partnership with 2 entities: IMAPAK Piotr Pietrasik (SME) and STEICO Sp. z o.o. ZAGADNIENIE TECHNOLOGICZNE: • Identyfikacja możliwych do zastosowania składników podłoża ogrodniczego. • Opracowanie, a następnie wytworzenie kombinacji składników (mieszanek podłożowych) skomponowanych z materiałów odpadowych/poprodukcyjnych wytwarzanych przez przemysł rolniczy w woj. lubuskim i w woj. ościennych. • Badania właściwości i wydajności wytworzonych kombinacji składników (biorąc pod uwagę udział i stężenie poszczególnych komponentów i warunki kompostowania). • Opracowanie składu 4 mieszanek podłożowych - uniwersalne dla roślin ozdobnych; do iglaków, wrzosów i różaneczników; do trawników; do roślin balkonowych. • Opracowanie technologii produkcji poprzez udoskonalenie procesu kompostowania (konstrukcja prototypu instalacji pobierającej próbki do badań w trybie automatycznym, koncepcja prototypu będzie dotyczyć próbkowania, kontrolowania jakości kompostu). • Określenie optymalnego składu produktu (ograniczenie ilości torfu, zastosowanie odpadów poprodukcyjnych) i parametrów stymulujących wzrost hodowanych roślin (z uwzględnieniem zwiększenia ich wartości estetycznej).
