The proposed project consists of the construction and equipping of 6 R & D infrastructure facilities: 1.Centre of Applied Biology and Innovative Technologies of Food Production (Wrocław) 2.Centre of the Regional Product (Wrocław) 3. Center of Advanced Horticulture Production Technologies (Psary) 4.Centre of Experimental Infections of Animals (Wrocław) 5. preventive and therapeutic foods, dietary supplements and special nutritional products, new intelligent plant types, high-quality feed and alternatives in animal pharmacovigilance, specialised foods and food supplements for animals, organic, traditional, regional and local foods, functional and nutraceutical foods, nutritional foods, nutritional foods, packaging and storage technologies. There are also plans for business services, including: laboratory analyses, joint experiments and experiments, development of new or improved methods, recipes and technologies, innovative products, testing: equipment, production lines, means of production, products (preparations, medicines, vaccines, chemical compounds), technical and semi-technical verification of results obtained on a laboratory scale, training and workshops. The project will improve the quality of food produced and processed in Lower Silesia by building an integrated food safety system and creating network links in the field of health protection based on a concept that ensures food safety “from field to table”. The beneficiary is an investor and operator, has experience in the implementation of projects from the EU, and its technical, organisational and financial potential ensures the sustainability of the project and the full achievement of its objectives.     Wnioskowany projekt polega na budowie i wyposażeniu 6 obiektów infrastruktury badawczo-rozwojowej: 1.Centrum Biologii Stosowanej oraz Innowacyjnych Technologii Produkcji Żywności (Wrocław) 2.Centrum Produktu Regionalnego (Wrocław) 3.Ośrodek Zaawansowanych Technologii Produkcji Ogrodniczej (Psary) 4.Centrum Eksperymentalnych Zakażeń Zwierząt (Wrocław) 5.Ośrodek Badawczy Technologii Produkcji Roślinnej (Wrocław) 6.Centrum Diagnostyki Chorób Roślin (Wrocław) Będzie to ośrodek badawczo-rozwojowy prowadzący badania z zakresu biotechnologii nakierowane m. in. na: profilaktyczne i terapeutyczne środki spożywcze, suplementy diety i środki specjalnego przeznaczenia żywieniowego, nowe inteligentne typy roślin, pasze wysokiej jakości i środki alternatywne w farmakoterapii zwierząt, karmy specjalistyczne i suplementy diety dla zwierząt, żywność ekologiczną, tradycyjną, regionalną i lokalną, żywność funkcjonalną i nutraceutyki, żywność o zwiększonych właściwościach odżywczych, technologie opakowywania i przechowywania. Planowane są też usługi dla przedsiębiorstw m.in.: analizy laboratoryjne, wspólne doświadczenia i eksperymenty, opracowania nowych lub ulepszonych metod, receptur i technologii, innowacyjnych produktów, testowania: urządzeń, linii produkcyjnych, środków produkcji, produktów (preparatów, leków, szczepionek, związków chem.), weryfikacja w skali technicznej i półtechnicznej wyników uzyskanych w skali laboratoryjnej, szkolenia i warsztaty. Projekt wpłynie na poprawę jakości żywności produkowanej i przetwarzanej na Dolnym Śląsku poprzez budowę zintegrowanego systemu bezpieczeństwa żywności i stworzenie powiązań sieciowych w zakresie ochrony zdrowia na bazie koncepcji zapewniającej bezpieczeństwo żywności „od pola do stołu”. Beneficjent jest inwestorem i operatorem, ma doświadczenie w realizacji projektów z UE, a jego potencjał techniczny, organizacyjny i finansowy gwarantuje trwałość projektu i pełną realizację jego celów.
