The overarching objective of the project is to reduce the potential negative effects of floods on human life and health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activities on areas at risk of flooding.     Przedmiotem projektu jest przegląd i aktualizacja planów zarządzania ryzykiem powodziowym (PZRP) - jest to obowiązek wynikający z art. 173 ust. 19-21 ustawy Prawo wodne, niezbędny dla wykonania postanowień art. 14 ust 3 Dyrektywy Powodziowej. Przeglądy i aktualizacje PZRP zgodnie w z zasadami Dyrektywy Powodziowej opracowywane są jako 3, końcowy etap opracowania dokumentów planistycznych w ramach II cyklu planistycznego (po przeprowadzeniu aktualizacji WORP i aktualizacji MZP i MRP). Celem nadrzędnym projektu jest ograniczenie zdiagnozowanych potencjalnych negatywnych skutków powodzi dla życia i zdrowia ludzi, środowiska, dziedzictwa kulturowego oraz działalności gospodarczej dla obszarów narażonych na niebezpieczeństwo powodzi. Jest to cel zarządzania ryzykiem powodziowym, zgodny z ustawą Prawo wodne i Dyrektywą Powodziową. (Polish)
