Reference number of the aid programme: SA.41471(2015/X) Purpose of public aid: Article 25 of EC Regulation No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain types of aid compatible with the internal market in the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (OJ L. I'm sorry. EU L 187/1 of 26.06.2014). The subject of the project is to develop new varieties of berries (raspberry, strawberry, blackberry) for the processing industry adapted to Polish climatic conditions – product innovation according to the OECD Manual “Oslo Manual” 2005 confirmed by the opinion on innovation of the University of Agriculture in Krakow. New varieties will have significant competitive advantages compared to varieties on the market at the level of key characteristics and technological parameters: 1. Efficiency of the machine harvest 2. Fruit yield and size 3. Suitability for processing 4. Health-promoting value of fruit 5. Resistance to diseases and pests. R & D works will be carried out by crossover method. With carefully selected parental couples, it is assumed to obtain genotypes with cumulative positive traits. By means of multi-stage selection, forms that give way to other properties will be eliminated until the clones are obtained for the registration application. Niwa has a large collection of varieties and advanced clones, a bank of genes necessary for breeding as provided for in the application (48.5 thousand genotypes, 253 clones with desired characteristics) obtained from their own R & D or acquired works (e.g. from The New Zealand Institute for Plant&Food Research Ltd). R & D works will be conducted by authorities on the project, among others Dr. Jan Danek – a world-renowned breeder, author of successes of Polish breeding raspberries and blackberries (variates of raspberries by Dr. Danek account for 70 % of Polish production). The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. (English)

Numer_referencyjny_programu_pomocowego: SA.41471(2015/X) Przeznaczenie_pomocy_publicznej: art. 25 rozporządzenia KE nr 651/2014 z dnia 17 czerwca 2014 r. uznające niektóre rodzaje pomocy za zgodne z rynkiem wewnętrznym w stosowaniu art. 107 i 108 Traktatu (Dz. Urz. UE L 187/1 z 26.06.2014). Przedmiotem projektu jest opracowanie nowych w skali świata odmian roślin jagodowych (malina, truskawka, jeżyna) dla przemysłu przetwórczego dostosowanych do polskich warunków klimatycznych -innowacja produktowa zg. z def. Podręcznika OECD „Oslo Manual” 2005 potwierdzona opinią o innowacyjności Uniwersytetu Rolniczego w Krakowie. Nowe odmiany będą posiadały znaczące przewagi konkurencyjne w stosunku do odmian występujących na rynku na poziomie kluczowych cech i parametrów tech.: 1. Efektywność zbioru maszynowego 2. Plenność i wielkość owoców 3. Przydatność do przetwórstwa 4. Wartość prozdrowotna owoców 5. Odporność na choroby i szkodniki. Prace B+R będą prowadzone metodą krzyżówkową. Dzięki starannie dobranym parom rodzicielskim zakłada się uzyskanie genotypów posiadających skumulowane pozytywne cechy. W drodze wielostopniowej selekcji eliminowane będą formy ustępujące innym swoimi właściwościami, aż do uzyskania klonów kandydujących do zgłoszenia rejestrowego. Niwa posiada liczną kolekcję odmian i zaawansowanych klonów stanowiącą bank genów niezbędnych do prac hodowlanych przewidzianych we wniosku (48,5tys. genotypów, 253 klony o pożądanych cechach) uzyskanych w ramach własnych prac B+R lub nabytych (np. od The New Zealand Institute for Plant&Food Research Ltd). Prace B+R będą prowadzone przez autorytety w tematyce projektu m.in. dr Jan Danek - światowej sławy hodowca, autor sukcesów polskiej hodowli malin i jeżyn (odmiany malin autorstwa dr Danka stanowią 70% polskiej produkcji). Projekt będzie realizowany we współpracy z Uniwersytetem Jagiellońskim w Krakowie i Uniwersytetem Przyrodniczym w Lublinie. (Polish)
