    THE PROJECT ENVISAGES A DOUBLING OF THE LINE BETWEEN THE BICOCCA STATION AND CATENANOVA FOR A RANGE OF APPROXIMATELY 38 KM LONG. THE DOUBLE TRACK WILL BE ACHIEVED PARTLY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS ZONE AND IN SOME SECTIONS BY BUILDING A NEW DOUBLE TRACK. THIS WAS DONE WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF RAIL TRANSPORT, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF RAIL SERVICES AND IMPROVING THE STANDARDS OF THE AFFIDABILIT-MOVEMENT STANDARDS. IT IS EXPECTED THAT: Â A SINGLE FAST TRACK OPENING; Â — OPENING UP SECOND TRACK WITH DELETION OF ALL LEVEL CROSSINGS. (English)
