Increased innovation and competitiveness of STARGUM STANKIEWICZ Spółka Jawna as a result of the implementation of circular economy solutions.
Property / summary

The project consists of the implementation of TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION in the GUMO industry, according to the AUTORY CONCEPCY, developed as part of its own research and development works. The company intends to increase production capacity by launching the production of improved EPDM pellets produced on the basis of post-production waste — EPDM rubber dust. The EPDM pellet production process based on rubber dust is a complementary process for primary production, which provides the raw material in the form of dust. EPDM pellets will be dedicated to the construction of sports and recreational surfaces (playgrounds, pitches), including powder granules for artificial grass. The improved EPDM granules will be characterised by improved physico-chemical properties having a direct impact on the quality (‘lifetime’) of sports surfaces, i.e. specific weight, hardness, bulk density, aging resistance. The project has a high environmental added value by using natural resources in a more efficient and sustainable way. The new EPDM pellet production technology, which uses up to 40 % EPDM rubber dust in the recipe as waste of primary production — allows to acquire a new source of raw materials for the production of pellets. The project is in line with the idea of a circular economy — an economic concept aimed at rational use of resources and reducing negative impacts on the environment. Material scope of the project: 1. Construction of production and warehouse hall with external infrastructure 2. Purchase of a granulation line. (English)

Nowa technologia wytwarzania granulatów EPDM, wykorzystująca w recepturze do 40% pyłu gumowego EPDM jako odpadu produkcji pierwotnej - pozwala pozyskać nowe źródło surowców do produkcji granulatów. Zakres rzeczowy projektu: 1. Budowa hali produkcyjno-magazynowej wraz z infrastrukturą zewnętrzną 2. Zakup linii granulującej. (Polish)
