Companies operating under the programme are forced, as a consequence of the economic crisis, to change the way in which their products and services are designed in order to optimise their results and embrace innovation. Current models refer to collaborative design between multidisciplinary profiles: artists, creators, researchers, and entrepreneurs. This interdisciplinary wealth has seen the emergence of a very large number of projects in several regions and collaborative workspaces. However, these regions remain isolated and provide local support to businesses that have more and more clients in the surrounding areas. The objective of this project is the implementation of a cross-border network of Living Labs based on existing physical structures present in the cross-border region, with the theme of digital creativity. The typical characteristic of a Living Lab is to bring together different profiles in one place and to break down the barriers between different areas of activity. The final objective is to achieve more innovation, creation and value. There are Living Labs in all three regions, but their structure and degree of maturity vary. The general objective is to cross borders, to promote exchanges between artists and researchers, to facilitate the development of projects related to companies from other regions, and to contribute to the development of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector.
