    The river Tisa has aboundant natural beauty and an extraordinary potential for tourism development, which would enable the overall socio-economic development of the region. This project has a goal to increase the number of visits of the cultural heritage attractions in this region, as well as the number of overnight stays and thus increase the revenue in the tourism sector in the border region. The target groups that the project will be addressing are: representatives of tourist companies from the tourism industry, representatives of media, households and accommodation units, local citizens and a wider public. Having in mind that the region of Vojvodina in Serbia and Csongrad County in Hungary have not had a commonly defined product and services that were jointly branded and promoted, this project aims to create a new and innovative basis for the future joint tourism development and promotion. The activities it plans to implement include: - Creating a joint tourism strategy development document. - Creating digital databases. - Developing mobile applications and guides. - Developing a multilingual web portal. - Organizing thematic seminars and workshops for relevant stakeholders on promotion, branding and use of EU funds. - Creating a cross-border tourism network IDENTIS. - Promoting defined thematic tour and routes at tourism fairs and in media. The primary activity will be creating a strategic document to further define the steps in the joint action. The project intends to involve various stakeholders in the marketing activities related to the products and routes. The project intends to ensure sustainable development of project area.This will be achieved by including unique tourist offers and promoting them. Some of these offers include: seeing the Tisa mayfly; thematic routes, such as cycling, running, or walking to get more familiar with natural values, seeing special flora and fauna at the zoos in Palić and Szeged, and the Buffalo Farm by the lake of Nagyszéksós; visiting the cultural heritage sites, such as cathedrals and museums. The project marketing activities will includes digital and non-digital promotion as well as usage of android and iOS platforms. (English)
