I-ACCESS has the main goal of developing innovative solutions to improve the cultural and physical accessibility of cultural heritage in historic centers, considering the cultural heritage as a driving force for the integration and development of the society. Through the exchange of cross-border expertises, new methodological lines as well as new models and intervention methods will be developed to improve the accessibility and the enhancement of goods falling in pedestrian areas of city centers. The complementary partnership will enable the development and validation in the field of new solutions to improve the accessibility of places in two strategic directions: 1) physical accessibility improvement; 2) improving accessibility to the contents. The project includes the construction of a Participatory Platform for Public Consultation, an advisory activity with inclusive purpose, aimed at enabling the direct participation of citizens in the formation of rules of common life. The project results are: - Pilot projects to improve the quality of life and social inclusion through technological development and the use of ICT tools to improve access to information and services by the most disadvantaged users. - Definition of new technologies and new services for the improvement of physical and cultural accessibility of cultural heritage. - Definition of new models and protocols for use of cultural heritage.
